Swimming advisories were initially issued at 13 beaches, where enterococci levels exceeded 104 colony forming units (cfu) Monday.
As of Friday, levels exceed 104 cfu at Beachwood Beach West river beach, Beachwood.
On Wednesday, four other beaches were closed for the same reason. Those were:
- East Beach Station Avenue river beach, Pine Beach
- Hancock Avenue bay beach, Seaside Heights
- Reese Avenue bay beach, Lavallette
- 25th Street bay beach, Barnegat Light
Water will be retested and the beach will be reopened when levels are below 104 cfu.
